Who We Are and What We Do at SPGH

We originated at the University of Illinois in 1988. SPGH has held a Public Foundation status since 1992. We have awarded over $34 Million in grants to date for preservation and renovation of chapter houses. The awarding of grants is based upon health and safety code requirements, major structural rehabilitation or restoration, and interior or exterior rehabilitation or restoration.

Our main goal is to educate the public of the historical and architectural significance of the Fraternity and Sorority houses and to preserve and document the unique architecture of these houses. Contributions are tax-deductible to donors for approved projects. There is opportunity for Foundation to Foundation transfer for approved grants.
